Frequently asked questions
How do I scan or import documents?
Tap the scan icon in the app or choose "Import" to add a photo or PDF from your photo library. BriefPilot automatically recognises text and important information.
Does BriefPilot work offline?
Yes — scanning, storing, and managing your documents works without an internet connection. However, analysis with OCR and AI requires an active internet connection, because the content is transmitted over an encrypted connection to the analysis services.
Why does analysis need internet?
Text recognition and document analysis run via external services accessed over an encrypted connection. Without internet, these services cannot be used.
How can I back up or export my data?
Your documents are stored locally on your device by default. Depending on the app version, you can export individual documents or lists as PDF, image, or spreadsheet. A full backup is recommended via your device's own backup (e.g. iCloud or Google Backup).
How do I delete my data?
You can delete documents individually in the app or reset all app data via your device settings. For more privacy information, see schreibenpilot.de/privacy.
How much does BriefPilot cost?
Pricing information is shown in the App Store or Google Play Store. Current prices and subscription models can be found directly in the app or on the product page.
